A new study has shown that, by ensuring that patients have simple information, doctors could greatly improve their patients’ recovery. Between 80% and 90% of patients don’t know the name of their treating physician. The study shows that patients who are more comfortable have a better recovery, and a key to that comfort is for the patient to know the name of her physician. According to the data, the satisfaction rates for patients who were presented with simple biographical information about their physician was 22% higher.
