The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of about 900 Slalom Glider children’s slides due to an increased risk of fall injuries. The product, manufactured by Landscape Structures Inc., does not have a transition platform at the top of the slide, nor walls on the sides of the slide, allowing children to easily fall off during use. There have been 16 reports of injuries, including fractured arms and legs and a bruised spleen. Staff Report, PR Newswire 02/16/2012
