Recent studies show that cell phones of the patients and visitors are a HUGE source of bad bacteria into the sterile hospital setting. Tests revealed several very harmful types of bacteria on these phones that are being brought into the patients rooms, and used by these patients. The presence of these cell phone dangers is problem enough but when the sick and/or immune compromised patient puts the phone up to their face and ear/nose and mouth area – the likelihood of getting an infection is even greater!Protect yourself when you, or someone you know, is in the hospital. Be careful of who comes in to visit while you are there and what they bring in.
