The Consumer Product Safety Commission has announced a recall of more than 83,000 ceiling lighting fixtures due to fire and shock hazards. Manufactured by Thomas Lighting, the agency said the socket wiring can degrade and expose charged wires. There have been 11 reports of defective fixtures, but no injuries occurred.
